Ever wonder how comics get made, or what it takes to make a great comic? We might guide you to the answer! QHS proudly presents a brand new summer workshop:𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮: 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙘 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙨.

Come to create a comic about yourself! We want you to connect with your past through comics and art, to learn all the techniques needed to create their own graphical story though the art of comics. Taught by a professional comic book artist, you will tell the story of yourself and what makes you ‘you’!

Meeting Thursday and Friday afternoons for 5 weeks, students will take 2-hour lessons on the art of storytelling taught by Greg Renaud, a Queens local artist who has been focusing on illustration and cartoons. Techniques such as paneling, dialog, action, motion, and setting will be complemented with how culture and history can be used to tell a story.
